Arun Hendi's current research interests are in aging, mortality, health, formal demography, and social change. His recent research has focused on globalization, contemporary fertility transitions, educational differentials in mortality, stratification in the accuracy of subjective survival forecasts, and the health of black children in the U.S. He plans to write his dissertation on three topics using demographic modeling: spousal differences in mortality, globalization and fertility transitions, and educational gradients in life expectancy.
