Joe LaBriola is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan Survey Research Center. He uses survey and administrative data to examine the roots of racial and socioeconomic inequalities in the contemporary United States, with his current work primarily focusing on racial inequalities in housing and wealth. His research has been published in outlets including American Sociological Review, Social Forces, and Social Problems. He received his PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley and completed his postdoctoral training at Brown University's Population Studies and Training Center.
