Hashim is a third-year Ph.D. student in Demography at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an M.Sc. in Health Economics and Decision Science from University College London (UCL) and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He previously worked at the Population Council’s country office in Pakistan. During his tenure there, his work primarily focused on assessing randomized control trials and observational studies to promote modern contraceptive use to address unmet contraceptive need. His current research interests lie at the intersection of demography, population health, and health policy in Low- and Middle-Income Countries.
