Emily Curran is a PhD student in sociology and demography at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research lies at the intersection of gender, work, and family, with a particular focus on the economic consequences of providing paid and unpaid care. Her current projects examine parenthood penalties in same-sex couples, household care service expenditures, and paid dependent care penalties.
