Douglas Ewbank has done research on the demography of tropical Africa as well as genetic differences in mortality by genotype. He worked with Penn's Alzheimer's Disease Center on the demographic, clinical and medical aspects of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. He is now documenting the social-demographic history of West Philadelphia.
Douglas Ewbank’s recent research has focused on longevity and chronic disease at the older ages. This has included research on excess mortality associated with Alzheimer’s disease and co-authoring half a dozen clinical studies on Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
