Raghav Gaiha obtained a Ph.D in Economics from University of Manchester, England. He has published on poverty, nutrition, inequality and aging. He has published /edited three books: Battling Corruption Has NREGA Reached Rural Poor in India (jointly with Shylashri Shankar), OUP, 2012; Diet, Malnutrition and Disease: The India Experience (jpointly with R. Jha and Vani S. Kulkarni), OUP, 2014; and Economics of Food Security (jointly with R. Jha), Edward Elgar, 2017. He has held visiting Scholar and Visiting fellow positions at University of Manchester, University of Cambridge, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford and Yale. He has served as consultant with World Bank, ILO, FAO, IFAD and Asian Development Bank.
